| 무용단 소개 | 뉴욕 트리샤 브라운 무용단에서 주역 무용수로 활동했던 안무가 정재혁은 더 다양한 가능성을 만들어내기 위해 Company J를 창단하여 가장 본질적이고 근본적인 움직임에 집중하며 세련된 작품들을 만들어 내고 있다. 단체의 작품은 클래식함과 컨템포러리함이라는 상반된 두 요소를 교묘하게 조합하기 위한 방법으로 반복적인 움직임을 이용한다. 단조롭지만 위트 있는 움직임이 얼마나 다양한 가능성을 만들어 낼 수 있는지 Company J의 작품들을 통해 확인 할 수 있다. |
| 작품소개 | 유토피아(Utopia)는 그리스어 ou(not)와 topos(place)를 조합하여 만든 말로 ‘어디에도 없는 곳’을 뜻한다. ‘좋은 곳’이라는 ‘eu-topos’와 같은 소리 다른 뜻의 낱말이기도 하다. '이상향'이란 어쩌면 좋은 곳이기 때문이 아니라 없는 곳이기 때문에 계속 꿈을 꾸게 되는지도 모르겠다. |
